A7VO变量柱塞泵在使用的过程中难免会遇到一些小故障，这些故障若是不及时处理可能会对柱塞泵造成一定的影响。经常遇到的一个故障就是输出流量有波动，引起这种波动的原因可能是因为变量机构的控制不够好，活塞上的阶痕、磨痕都可能会造成控制活塞运动不稳定。变量式轴向柱塞泵的斜盘倾角为零的时候泵的输出流量也应为零，中位偏离调整机构中点现象的发生也会导致在中点时流量不为零。
